PHARMACY ASSISTANT
LOCATION
Fort Worth, TX | Onsite
ROLE IMPACT
The Pharmacy Assistant supports fulfillment operations by accurately packing and shipping medications, supplies, and patient information in accordance with established procedures and pharmacy regulations. This role helps ensure orders are prepared correctly, shipping information is accurate, and pharmacy inventory and work areas remain organized and ready for daily operations.
KEY DUTIES
• Prepare medications and supplies for shipment while following packing procedures, checklists, and shipping requirements
• Review shipping manifests, confirm delivery information, and work with the pharmacy team to resolve order or shipping issues
• Reconcile packing slips, invoices, carrier documentation, and shipping manifests for accuracy
• Restock medications and supplies, rotate ice packs and coolers, and maintain organized storage and packing areas
• Complete end-of-day shipping room duties, cleaning, waste/cardboard handling, and securing designated pharmacy and storage areas
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Shipping, packing, and dock work experience required
• Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite five days per week, including the required Saturday rotation
EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Ability to stand and perform physical work for 95% of the workday, including 8+ hours as required
• Ability to lift, move, and manipulate boxes and packages weighing approximately 25 pounds
• Ability to use computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Work includes packing, shipping, restocking, cleaning, and maintaining pharmacy and storage areas
• Ability to work morning and/or afternoon shifts as required
PREFERRED SKILLS
• One year of mail service or specialty pharmacy dispensing experience
• Inventory management experience
• Strong time management, organization, teamwork, and multitasking skills
