About the Job Brookwood Group has been protecting owner interests in construction since 1989. Our lineage traces back to George T. Heery: one of the original developers of the Construction Project Management profession and creator of the Bridging delivery method. We've managed over $10 billion in construction programs across healthcare, education, government, and commercial sectors. We are seeking experienced owner's representatives and program managers with expertise in corporate headquarters, commercial office buildings, and tenant improvements who are interested in working on a flexible, contract basis. Whether you're semi-retired, running your own practice, or simply looking for project-based work that fits your schedule, we'd like to talk. We welcome candidates from any U.S. location who are willing to travel to project sites as assignments require. This role offers the flexibility to take on specific projects or provide part-time support while leveraging Brookwood's resources, reputation, and technology platform. If you have deep experience in corporate headquarters, commercial office buildings, and tenant improvements and want to continue serving clients on your terms, this may be the right fit. Key Responsibilities Provide owner's representation on headquarters buildings, office renovations, tenant build-outs, and commercial developments on a project-by-project or part-time basis. Serve as the owner's trusted advisor on budget, schedule, quality, and risk management. Navigate local building codes, commercial permitting requirements, and tenant coordination protocols. Support business development efforts and client relationship development as needed. Mentor junior staff and share institutional knowledge. Coordinate with Brookwood leadership on project staffing and resource needs. Requirements 15+ years in construction project management, program management, or owner's representation. Demonstrated track record managing corporate and commercial construction projects. Strong working relationships with corporate real estate departments, commercial building owners, and private developers. Excellent communication skills and executive presence. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel to project sites as assignments require. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Preferred Qualifications Deep experience in corporate headquarters, commercial office buildings, and tenant improvements. CCM, PMP, PE, RA, or LEED AP certification. Experience with fast-track schedules, tenant coordination, and corporate real estate portfolio management Existing client relationships that could benefit from Brookwood's platform. What You'll Gain Flexible schedule—work on your terms. Competitive hourly or project-based compensation. Access to Brookwood's back-office support, insurance, and contracting infrastructure. AI-powered project management tools that make your job easier. Opportunity to transition to full-time if circumstances change. Why Brookwood? We were co-founded by George Heery: the person who literally invented much of what we now call Construction Management and Program Management, including the Bridging method. That's our foundation and it's a rich legacy of serving clients and delivering construction projects. But we're not living in the past. We're building AI-powered tools that automate the tedious work and give our people on the ground actual superpowers. The goal isn't efficiency for its own sake, it's serving our clients better and bringing some joy back to managing construction projects. If that sounds like the kind of place you want to be, let's talk.
